This week’s Star Letter goes to Corby Macdonald for his comment under the post: Voice recognition could help mortgage advisers spot struggling applicants – MCI
I have said this many times before and I have even submitted a paper to the FCA, never to be replied to, but, as a mortgage broker, I cannot see any problem with conducting a fact find and subsequent sale via such digital media as Skype, Face Time or other video media.
I can speak to the client, get them to email their documents and ID, so I can ID them, so long as it’s conducted as a normal face to face, what is the problem? But, it appears to be wrong, but, it would free me up from unnecessary travelling, making me greener and I can do appointments at more beneficial times for the clients and myself. I don’t think that “robo” advice is the way forward, I think its important for that client/broker interaction, but, I think there are ways we can use technology better to enhance our client servicing.
