Bridgewater offers equity release master class
Bridgewater Equity Release has announced a master class for financial advisers to be held later this month.

Aimed at advisers already active in the equity release sector, the Newcastle-based firm will hold the equity release advice master class in Bury on 30 May for those looking to enhance their knowledge of the market.

Four speakers will cover a range of topics at the master class, including Paul Barber, director at Bridgewater, who will host a session on longevity. Tracey Hartley, senior manager at Grainger Property Services Division will discuss current and future trends in the UK housing market.

Solicitor Peter Barton of Ashfords LLP will cover legal processes, including how to improve profitability and avoid legal pitfalls.

Peter Welch, head of sales and distribution at Bridgewater Equity Release, will advise on how to ensure customer risk is appropriately matched to the advice offered.

He said: “With this Masterclass we wanted to look at equity release advice ‘in the round’ tackling a range of subjects and issues which are particularly pertinent to advisers. To that end, we have brought together a range of experts in order to help advisers develop their understanding of such key areas as longevity, the housing market, the legal process and the delivery of advice. We would like advisers to leave with a better understanding of those topics and, importantly, how they are likely to impact and potentially change the advice that is provided to clients.”

The event will be held at the Village Hotel Bury, Waterfold Business Park, Bury, BL9 7BQ on Wednesday 30th May.

It starts at 10am and finishes after lunch at 1pm.
