Connect for Intermediaries hires trio to leadership team
Mortgage network, packager and adviser business Connect for Intermediaries has hired Alan Baldwin, Adrian Boxhall and Jim Selley to its leadership team.

Baldwin takes on the role of director of compliance and will oversee the supervision teams and help implement Appointed Representative (AR) supervision and Consumer Duty changes.

He previously worked at Masthaven for around two years as complaints manager and before that was compliance manager at Flagstone for around a year.

He has also held roles as compliance manager at Bower Retirement and LSL Property Services.

Adrian Boxhall will become operations director and is due to join the firm in mid-January. In his role he will look at how to improve mortgage application process efficiency, especially in specialist lending and commercial sectors.

Boxhall worked at Shawbrook for nearly eight years, most recently as underwriting team leader. Before that he worked at HSBC for nearly a decade in commercial manager roles.

Jim Selley has been promoted to training director, which the firm said would show the network’s commitment to support advisers in expanding their knowledge.

He was most recently a freelance trainer for nearly three years but spent most of his career at L&C Mortgages, working there for 18 years in various roles including training and recruitment manager for around seven years.

Selley also worked at HFC Bank for around five years in various roles including branch manager.

Liz Syms (pictured), chief executive of Connect for Intermediaries, said: “These great new appointments complete our plan for a really strong leadership team to kick off 2023.

“Despite the question about market conditions, we felt it was very important to provide greater strength to these areas of the business so we can deliver on our ambitious growth plans.”
