SimplyBiz appoints Phillips as business development quality manager
SimplyBiz has announced that the appointment of Kelly Phillips as its business development quality manager.

It’s a newly created role where she will work closely with SimplyBiz member firms to help create protection opportunities, and support advisers to meet customer expectations. The focus of the role is to drive a better outcome for the end consumer.

Phillips was previously sales quality account manager at AIG Life, where she spent four and a half years.

Under the leadership of head of protection and health solutions Emma Vaughan, there have been major developments in the protection division within SimplyBiz over the past 18 months. Recent initiatives include the launch of a specialist panel of leading income protection providers.

In a further advancement, SimplyBiz has also joined up with Pipeline to offer its members access to the SolutionBuilder platform at a preferential rate. This allows them to review the market place based on the needs of their clients and choose optimum products.

 

‘A focus on business quality’

Phillips said on her new challenge: “I am very excited to have joined SimplyBiz at such a pivotal time.

“Having worked at AIG and Legal & General for over five years, it is great to be working with a distributor and making a real difference for SimplyBiz members. I am extremely passionate about business quality, so working to further develop this proposition at SimplyBiz is something to which I’m really looking forward.”

Vaughan commented: “At a pivotal time for the protection market, when the spotlight is on providers to demonstrate fair value and for advisory firms to comply with additional compliance, there has never been a bigger focus on business quality.
