How important are support staff and business development managers when placing a mortgage case?
NatWest has announced plans to expand its support staff this week while fellow lender GE Money also moved to appoint extra BDMs earlier this month.
NatWest head of intermediary mortgages Graham Felstead said: “Because we intend to sustain this level of lending we are investing more into our service proposition. A key element of this will be the recruitment of more quality people to our sales teams.”
The latest Mortgage Solutions People’s Poll asks brokers whether BDMs and support staff ever affect where a case is placed.
