Gatehouse Bank partners with Blueprint Real Estate Company
The London based Shariah-compliant bank has partnered with a Kuwait based firm to offer finance to expats and international residents looking to purchase property in the UK.

Blueprint Holding Co. is a real estate investment consultancy specialising in global real estate opportunities, and will be proving Gatehouse Bank with a certain number of contacts each year keen to invest in the UK.

Gatehouse Bank, which operates in accordance with Shariah principles, says this forms part of the strategy of its move into the home finance business.

Charles Haresnape, chief executive officer at Gatehouse Bank, said: “I am delighted to be partnering with an intermediary with long-standing experience of clients resident outside the UK.

“This relationship, plus that from our sister company in Kuwait, Gatehouse Capital, gives Gatehouse Bank an excellent opportunity to provide an overarching customer proposition from property search to the finance to acquire UK property.”

The partnership also comes as Gatehouse Bank announces an expansion to its residential home finance team.

Umar Ali has been appointed as head of home finance after five years at Al Rayan Bank, while Junaid Sarwar – who previously worked for Al Rayan Bank, Santander and Barclays – has joined as a business development manager.

Speaking on the new appointments, Gatehouse Bank’s chief commercial officer Paul Stockwell said: “We are delighted to have built a strong team of experienced specialists as we expand into the residential home finance sector.”
