Bluestone Mortgages hires Bailey as BDM for South East
Bluestone Mortgages has appointed Steve Bailey (pictured) as a field-based business development manager (BDM) for the South East of England.

In his role he will be “developing new regional business leads and opportunities” and will help educate brokers on how Bluestone Mortgages can help their clients.

Bailey joins from Landbay where he was head of internal sales for over four years and before that he was a sales and support manager at OneFamily for nearly four years.

He was also head of adviser support at Lighthouse Financial Advice for around five years.

Reece Beddall, Sales and Marketing Director, Bluestone Mortgages, said: “We’re delighted to have Steve join us in a newly-created position and be a part of Bluestone’s continuous journey to become the go-to lender for disenfranchised customers across the country.

“Steve brings a wealth of experience in the mortgage industry and will be integral to helping Bluestone manage its valuable intermediary partnerships and support the firms’ growth aspirations in 2024.”

Bailey added: “I’m thrilled to join Bluestone and be part of an expanding team and growing business. With relationship building and customer service at the heart of my role, I look forward to guiding intermediaries through their journey, and ensure brokers receive best in class service.

“At a time when customers are being turned away from high street lenders, I’m excited to be a part of a business that is supporting disenfranchised customers in their quest to achieve their homeownership dreams through alternative lending solutions and products.”

Last year in an interview with Specialist Lending Solutions, Beddall said that the lender was recruiting 25 roles across its Sheffield and London businesses to support its “growth trajectory”.

He said at the time that it was recruiting four new field-based BDMs in field base areas of North of England, Midlands and South East. The additions would bring the field-based team from three to seven.

Beddall added that the lender was also adding to its telephony BDM team and broker support team.
