Rightmove sets up broker advice service with aim of becoming go-to brand for mortgages
Property search portal Rightmove has launched a broker advice service for the website’s users.

In its trading update released today, the firm announced that this was launched last week to give customers applying for a mortgage “access to brokered advice through our site”.

A spokesperson for Rightmove said the firm wanted to become the “turn-to-first destination for mortgages” after achieving this for property.

The service has gone live with one of its estate agents’ brokers and will be trialled through a select number of advisers.

Rightmove aims for £25m from mortgages by 2028

This follows the launch of its mortgage in principle service with Nationwide last year, which offered website users a direct channel to the lender through Rightmove.

Rightmove said it made money through this partnership with a revenue share model and revenue growth would be generated by giving Nationwide more and better leads.

The broker advice service will be available to anyone who wants an alternative to the Nationwide mortgage in principle.

Rightmove said it aimed to have £25m in revenue from mortgages by 2028.

In its update today, the firm said its full-year outlook was in line with previous guidance, with expectations for a seven to eight per cent growth in underlying operating profit.
